Ireland Spring Conference 2024

The Spring Conference is the annual member event organised by IOP Ireland. The 2024 theme celebrates 60 years of the IOP Ireland Committee and will look at ‘Past, Present & Future’. This event is for all members of the physics community. The event features the Rosse Medal competition, invited talks, networking opportunities and an evening dinner.

Postgraduate students - celebrate your research by entering the Rosse Medal science communication competition. This involves a poster presentation in the morning, followed by the top 5 entrants presenting short talks in the afternoon with the winner announced at the evening dinner. The winner of the Rosse Medal will progress to represent Ireland at the 3 Minute Wonder final in 2025.

We are still working on an exciting programme but you can expect to hear from a host of engaging speakers for a whistlestop tour of physics milestones in the 60 year history of the IOP Ireland Committee and an interactive session on the future of IOP including our soon to open IOP Dublin building.

There is an additional evening programme including a reception, dinner and award presentation.
