Physics and the Economy archive
Physics is central to the UK economy. Whether through the application of novel research and technologies, or through the skills and abilities of physics-trained workers, physics drives businesses and innovation. This page includes our archive reports in this area.
One of our key roles, and that of our members, is to ensure those with decision-making power fully understand the contribution a strong and connected physics business community can make to the economy, and how vital a well-funded, thriving research and development (R&D) base is to the discovery and solutions process.
We are committed to representing physics-based businesses and physicists at the highest levels of government and produce policy briefings and influential reports highlighting the critical contribution that physics-based businesses make to our economy. The findings from our 2022 project are now available.
