This new prize will be awarded annually for exceptional work carried out as part of a PhD thesis project in the field of nuclear physics. The winner of the prize shall receive £250.
Candidates should normally have received their PhD since the prior nomination deadline. Exceptions to this criterion may be allowed at the group committee’s discretion.
Nominations for physicists working in the applications of nuclear physics or nuclear-related industries are welcome.
Nominees should be employed by, studying at or have obtained their PhD at a UK or Irish institution, or be an IOP Nuclear Physics Group member.

The deadline for nomination forms for the award is 23.59 on Friday 10 January 2025 with supporting statements due by 23.59 on Friday 24 January 2025.
