Public engagement in Wales
The Institute of Physics in Wales actively encourages its members and others to communicate exciting aspects and applications of physics to a wide audience.
The IOP in Wales’s grant scheme is designed to give financial support of up to £750 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in the country.
The main criteria for the awarding of a grant will be the benefit of the project/event to Wales. Practical support in terms of help and advice is available from Paul Williams: [email protected] or Eluned Parrott: [email protected].

This grant scheme is open all year round and applications will be assessed by the IOP in Wales Committee. Successful applicants will be notified by email within six weeks of application submission.
Institute of Physics UK-wide and Ireland funding opportunities
The IOP has a public engagement grant scheme which provides up to £3,000 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in the UK and Ireland.
Schools applying for a project or event linked to the teaching or promotion of physics can apply to the schools grant scheme for up to £600.
