Booking a meeting room

As the home of physics in the UK and Ireland, 37 Caledonian Road was designed with a vision to create a vibrant space to explore, collaborate, and showcase physics and the work of physicists for different audiences. This vision sits within the context of using the building to support our strategic activities, whilst also generating income to support the delivery of our programmes.

There is a charge for room hire for the theatres and third-floor meeting rooms, with heavily discounted rates offered to charities, local community organisations, and not-for-profit organisations working within STEM, as well as IOP members wishing to use the building for their external activities.

Members can continue to utilise the building for IOP member activities, use the Members’ Lounge, and other meeting areas such as Seminar Room 4, subject to availability. Please note that catering and refreshments can be arranged in advance at a charge.
