Parliamentary poster competition for early career researchers
20 November 2012
SET for BRITAIN 2013 offers early career researchers the opportunity to exhibit a poster on their work in the House of Commons on Monday 18 March next year.
Prizes are available for the winner and runners up in each subject, including physics, and are normally worth up to £3,000.
The competition is organised annually by the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee. Chairman Andrew Miller MP has written a letter, published on the SET for Britain website, that provides more information.
The exhibition itself is always a really dynamic event, well attended by MPs and peers and a great opportunity to showcase the best of UK science. It would be great to see physics well represented there.
If you would like to raise the profile of your research in this way, please go ahead and apply, or if you have a colleague whose work deserves recognition please encourage them to do so. The closing date for entries is 24 December.
