The UK Nuclear Fusion Programme

This is an in person talk by Jordan on the global and international effort to overcome the engineering challenges associated with harnessing nuclear fusion, the process that powers our sun, for meaningful energy production on earth. Jordan will discuss UKAEA's roadmap to building STEP, the Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production, in the UK by 2035, alongside how initiatives in the north such as the Fusion Technology Facility in Rotherham will support the development of materials for next generation fusion reactors.
