Solar Flares

Solar flares are powerful “explosions” in the atmosphere of the Sun, resulting from a release of stored magnetic energy. They can have significant effects on the Earth and our space environment. This talk will explain what we have learnt from recent space missions about how flares work.

We are pleased to say this will be a face-to-face talk but please note the venue.
