Physics for everyone – physics updates, inclusion and education research
‘Physics for everyone – physics updates, inclusion and education research’ - Conference on Wednesday 29 June 2022 at University of Birmingham. Organised in partnership with the School of Physics, University of Birmingham and IOP.
This day provides an opportunity for those involved in all aspects of physics education to come together, share best practice and be part of our community. Opening with a Keynote from Professor Louise Archer, the day will then split into three strands.
Strand 1 focuses on current Physics at the University of Birmingham and will be of interest to Physics teachers. It will add breadth and depth to teachers’ knowledge and will help bring additional colour to their teaching.
Strand 2 looks at a range of broader issues around Levelling-Up, careers and inclusion. These sessions will be of interest to leaders in schools and colleges and those in local authorities and businesses; we will look at the importance of physics in the local economy, careers education and opportunities in physics, as well as looking at equity across whole schools.
Strand 3 is for those interested in Physics Education Research, whether you are teaching and/or conducting research.
For more information and to book your place and strand choice. There is no charge to attend this conference fully funded by the School of Physics (UoB) and IOP.
