The Great Christmas Star Mystery

The sudden appearance of the Star of Bethlehem two millennia ago is an unsolved mystery. Is it a concern for archeoastronomy, astrology or astrophysics? Professor Michael Smith will endeavour to put heavenly apparitions into perspective. He compares augers and omens, the bringers of war and destruction, and reveals the truth behind supernovae, comets and cosmic explosions. Or was it what we would now call a misbehaving black hole?
