Fantastic Problem-Solving and where to find them

Speakers: Dr Sam Carr, University of Kent and Dr James Kneller, Northeastern University

In this workshop, you’ll get the chance to try a range of physics problems including some from the infamous undergraduate physics competition PLANCKS and develop your problem-solving skills.  Dr Sam Carr and Dr James Kneller will guide you through how to approach questions and offer some tips. The session is open to all, whether you have a background in physics or just want to try some estimation – only year 7 science knowledge assumed. Do you have a problem you would like to solve? Bring it along and we can help you.

Note about car parking: The University of Surrey charges for car parking in the main car parks on campus before 7pm. We will have a QR code for audience members to scan to register their vehicle to waive the parking  charges. Please do note that we can not guarantee that the QR Code for parking will work. If this poses you an access problem please contact us.

Please ensure you register for this event as it helps with room planning and enables us to notify you of any updates or changes.
