Chesterfield Barnett Observatory Visit
The IOP Derby Centre are hosting a visit to the Chesterfield Observatory.
The visit will consist of a lecture and observations (weather permitting) with the order depending on the weather. If it is clear you should be able to see Jupiter and Saturn and possibly the Andromeda galaxy using the observatory's 18″ reflector telescope. It may be possible to observe some star clusters which may be best viewed through the 12" Dobsonian.
Spaces are limited to 25 and you must register to attend. If you turn up and have not registered you will be refused entry.
Visitors must use the car park and not park in Hastings Close. Warm clothing is also advised because the lecture room is heated but the dome is cold, similar to the outside temperature.
