12th Vacuum Symposium Technical Meeting
The Vacuum Symposium UK series of meetings grew out of a ‘call’ from the UK vacuum community for an annual national meeting incorporating both technical and commercial elements.
The first meeting (Daresbury Laboratory, 10/11 February 2010) was organised by the RGA User Group that had previously staged a number of one day meetings starting in 1996. Indeed, VS1 incorporated the 9th RGA User Group Meeting that continues to grow and is this year (2015) in its 12th edition.
The aim of Vacuum Symposium UK is exactly the same as was modelled by the RGA User Group Meetings, but embraces a wider cross-section of vacuum users: regular ‘free to attend’ meetings that allow interaction between academics, industrial users and manufacturers, financed by sponsorship.
