  3. Summary Our aim is to widen participation and raise enthusiasm in 11-19 year olds, for all aspects of physics study. We run a diverse range of educational outreach programmes which includes lectures, workshops, museum tours and undergraduate open days and the annual Physics at Work exhibition in the third week in September which attracts ~2500 student bookings! Residential events, such as the senior physics challenge, bridge the gap between school and university physics and a new "Cambridge Colleges Physics Experience" links a physics half-day workshop with a half-day visit to a Cambridge college through the university's area link scheme ( This initiative targets Y9, Y11 and Y12 students from areas of low participation in physics and higher education. In collaboration with the IOP East Anglia Branch we run a physics day as part of Cambridge Science Festival, events throughout the year for members and a flagship event called "PhysicsFest”.
