After a Physics degree at Imperial College, and five years of research into integrated optical devices, resulting in a PhD, I spent a number of years working for RM. Following some time at home with my three children, I trained as a Physics teacher under the GTP scheme at a Milton Keynes comprehensive. Over the last sixteen years I have worked in several schools, both comprehensive and selective, and in a variety of roles including Head of Physics, Head of Science, Lead Tutor for Science (SCITT) and Acting Assistant Headteacher (CPD).  I am currently Director of Science at Lord Grey School in Milton Keynes.
I have been a PNC since 2010, and enjoy working with teachers across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

Professional interest
One of the many delights of teaching physics is coming up with a new demonstration or activity which supports more students to understand a concept and weaving it into a scheme of work. I particularly enjoy teaching the A-level Astrophysics options and have taught GCSE Astronomy.
