There are lots of useful career resources out there to help you work out your next steps, wherever you are in the UK or Ireland. We’ve gathered a few here, and we’ll be adding to this list, so check back for more.


England

Visit the National Careers Service, which offers a wealth of career-related resources including job profiles, advice on applying for jobs, a course finder and a skills assessment test.

Explore local opportunities with Future Goals, Leeds, which helps young people living, studying and working in the area to identify their aspirations, plan for the future and navigate the local job market.

Search for apprenticeships with Gen2, Cumbria, a City and Guilds Institute which offers training for specialists in engineering and technology.

Explore the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Apprenticeships and Careers Service, which posts events, opportunities and job openings geared at young people living locally.

Northern Ireland

Visit NI Direct Careers for careers information, advice and guidance in Northern Ireland.

Scotland

Discover what it's like to be a physicist with My World of Work as part of an online careers service offered by Skills Development Scotland.
