Group prizes

The HEPP Group awards three prizes:

  • The HEPP Group Prize
    This prize is awarded to an early career researcher for outstanding contributions to particle physics. The winner is chosen by the HEPP Group committee members.
  • The HEPP Group Science in Society Prize
    This prize is awarded to an early career researcher for outstanding contributions to outreach in particle physics. The winner is chosen by the HEPP Group committee members.
  • The HEPP Group Poster Prize
    The prize is awarded at the HEPP Group annual meeting, to the best contributed poster(s) displayed in the poster session and is chosen by HEPP committee members present at the conference and the local organising committee.

Terms

  • Members of the HEPP group committee are not eligible to be nominated
  • The work must have been carried out whilst funded by a UK/Ireland institution
  • The consent of the nominee should be obtained
  • No member may nominate more than one candidate for each prize
  • Early career is defined as within 12 years since the award of first degree
