Join the IOP-hosted Festival of Physics in Exeter

29 October 2021

Come along and be inspired to embark on a career in physics.

The IOP is hosting the autumn Festival of Physics at the University of Exeter on 6 November 2021, and anyone interested in a career in physics is very welcome to join us.

Hosted at The Forum, on the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus, the event is primarily organised to inspire young people with a joy of physics, as well as highlight the range of career opportunities available if they choose to study physics beyond their school years.

The one-day festival has been especially designed for school students who are studying for qualifications in physics, along with their friends and families. But it is also suitable for anyone interested in the subject and, of course, our own IOP members. The festival will feature lectures, workshops and demonstrations, and also offers networking opportunities.

Attending the festival this year is Dr Lisa Jardine-Wright, the IOP’s Vice-president for Education and Skills, who will meet with members and the wider physics community during the event, as part of a two-day visit to the south-west region.

The event is free to attend.
