IOP responds to proposed changes to GCSEs by Qualifications Wales
14 October 2021
Responding to proposed changes to GCSEs announced today by Qualifications Wales, the Institute of Physics has commented:
“We’re concerned that Qualifications Wales’ proposals will contribute to a loss of identity for physics. Students will no longer get separate grades or be given a teacher with a background in physics. This will reduce the quality of their experience and give them less information on which to make their choices for courses beyond 16.”
