IOP launches teacher training scholarships for 2021

We are pleased to announce details of the IOP teacher training scholarships programme 2021.

In partnership with the Department for Education, we are awarding 200 scholarships with £26,000 worth of tax-free funding to talented individuals who are passionate about physics and have the potential to become inspirational teachers.

Scholarships are for those starting teacher training in England in September 2021.

Benefits include:

• Participation in online CPD events designed to help scholars develop additional physics teaching skills;
• Access to a network of experienced physics teachers in their training region, with the opportunity to interact virtually with their scholar peers;
• Free IOP membership for their training year; and
• Signposting to a wide range of IOP teaching resources including IOPSpark.
