General Trustee: Dr Hana Krizek MInstP

Hana graduated from Charles University in Prague and has a PhD in physics from Durham University for work on the physical properties of rare earth.

After a brief period in industry, and time at the University of Leicester working on data from black holes, Hana then established a general physics consultancy firm in Cologne, Germany, which she ran for nine years.

Since 1994, Hana has been the co-owner and Finance Director of a physics-based company in the UK, specialising in the design and manufacture of surface analysis instrumentation and its marketing. In 2015, she co-established a sister company in Prague.

For the last 35 years, Hana has concentrated on improving X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and microscopy, aiming for the best spatial and energy resolution, and promoting the practical use of science and surface science across industry.
