Claudia is the Dean of the School of Science at Loughborough University. She has leadership responsibility for mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, and the Mathematics Education Centre. She is also an elected member of council of Loughborough University.
Before joining Loughborough University, she worked at the University of Sussex for more than 20 years, as Director of Teaching and Learning for the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, and as Head of Physics and Astronomy. She was a Royal Society University Research Fellow for eight years.
Previously, she spent two years as Ruth Holt Research Fellow at Newnham College, University of Cambridge, and two years as postdoctoral research associate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
She has a DPhil in theoretical physics from the University of Sussex and a master’s-level degree in physics from Leipzig University in Germany.
Claudia is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee.
