Honorary Fellows: Lord David Sainsbury of Turville, FRS

During this unusually extended period, unprecedented in recent times, Lord Sainsbury oversaw a significant growth in the budget for the science base and acted as a critical advocate at the very highest political level for science and the scientific community. He is also honoured for his very important contribution to science education through his Gatsby Foundation.
