Honorary Fellows: Dr Hermann Hauser
Hermann Maria Hauser is an Austrian entrepreneur and venture capitalist probably best known for his role in setting up Acorn Computers, E*Trade UK and Amadeus Capital Partners Ltd.
Hauser was awarded an Honorary CBE for “Innovative service to the UK enterprise sector” in 2001.
In 2001 Hauser set up the Hauser-Raspe Foundation to advance education.
In 2005, Hauser received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work as a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. He holds honorary doctorates from the Universities of Bath and Loughborough and Anglia Polytechnic University and is an honorary fellow of King’s College, Cambridge.
In 2008 Hauser was elected to Honorary Fellowship for his outstanding contribution to knowledge transfer through the successful development and financing of companies in the information technology sector.
