Teaching radioactivity videos
The Institute worked with Teachers TV to produce a programme in which the presenter leads a group of teachers through a series of activities to illustrate the properties of ionising radiations.
They were produced with collaboration from CLEAPSS and contain commentaries on the safety guidelines and their rationale. All of the activities can be carried out safely in schools.
CLEAPSS have produced an excellent guide on managing radioactivity in schools. It is available as a PDF file at www.cleapss.org.uk/.
