Scientific societies address the Science Minister

Professor Sir Peter Knight, President of the Institute of Physics (IOP), and Professor Peter Main, director of education and science at IOP, met with the Science Minister Rt Hon David Willetts MP, along with colleagues from the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Society of Biology and the Council for the Mathematical Sciences, on Thursday 17 May.

A range of topics was discussed at the meeting, including the case for research funding and the implications of open access for scientific publishing.
