Mapping the Future: Physics and Chemistry Postdoctoral Researchers’ Experiences and Career Intentions
The Institute of Physics (IOP) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) initiated a project to investigate the experience of postdoctoral researchers (PDRs).

Across the two disciplines, a survey was initiated to investigate how the experience of male and female PDRs affected their long-term career intentions. An electronic survey was distributed to UK chemistry and physics departments and a total of 776 responses (25% response rate) were received.
