Endorsed training providers scheme
There are a lot of training courses out there, and they vary substantially in terms of quality and value for money.
With that in mind, we have a scheme to formally endorse short technical and soft skills training courses relevant to physicists.

Electrostatic Solutions: Achieving a highly effective ESD programme is a two-day public event for electronics industry engineers who need to have an in-depth understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) prevention and management in electronics manufacturing facilities.
Reality of ESD is a short (2 hour) seminar presented on clients sites to a wide range of company personnel who need to have a basic understanding of ESD prevention in electronics manufacturing facilities.

If you’re a training provider looking for endorsement, you should provide full details of your courses, the credentials of your trainers and the names of two referees. You’ll also need to offer Institute of Physics members a 10% discount on courses.
Endorsement fees 2011
- Small and medium enterprises (defined as those with fewer than 250 employees): £250.00 per organisation
- Larger organisations: £450.00 per organisation
Annual renewal fees 2011
- Small and medium enterprises: £125.00
- Larger organisations: £250.00
