Special Section on Artificial Chiral Materials.
Journal of Optics is pleased to announce that a special section on Artificial Chiral Materials is now available online and is free to read until the end of November 2009.

An increasing number of researchers are currently designing, fabricating and studying artificial metamaterials composed of tailored chiral building blocks that may be viewed as ‘artificial chiral molecules’. Led by Guest Editors Martin Wegener (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) and Nikolay I Zheludev (University of Southampton), this special section is devoted to this vibrant and emerging research and has a special emphasis on the theory of light interactions with artificial chiral media.View the Special Section here.
