Current position
Semi-retired since 2009, I work part-time as author, editor and teacher trainer. A tutor for the 2011-12 SKE Physics course at the Science Learning Centre London.

Career
Taught science and physics in London 11-18 schools and sixth form colleges from 1979, twice a head of department. Involved in major science curriculum projects (Advancing Physics, C21 Science) as author and editor from 1997. OCR trainer and Science Learning Centre tutor since 2004. Managed the Practical Physics website from its beginnings until 2009. Institute of Physics Bragg medallist 2010.

Mission/Aims
Supporting London teachers of physics, particularly non-specialists, through school visits, local workshops and London-wide special events.

Personal interests
Allotment gardening, caring for my grand-daughter, learning to play the piano.
