  • BSc Geophysics, University of Leeds 1998
  • MSc Engineering Geology, University of Leeds 1999
  • PGCE Secondary Physics, University of Leeds 2003

Since completing teacher training I have worked for most of my career teaching Physics GCSE and A-level, as a curriculum lead for Physics in state-funded secondary schools and academies.

Professional Interest
My interest in education is promoting uptake of the subject at post-16 and beyond through the work I do in schools and with the Institute of Physics. I aim to provide effective support to colleagues both experienced and new to the profession, to enhance the teaching of physics and the engagement of our pupils and students. I have always had a keen interest in Geophysics, which is the field I studied at University but also have a general ‘hobby’ interest in Astrophysics and planetary science.
