Physics Network Coordinator in Kent
Since September 2009 I have been teaching part time at The Norton Knatchbull Grammar school for Boys in Ashford, Kent. Being Part time allows me to get involved in other projects, like this, elsewhere in my ‘free’ days.
I have been teaching physics in Kent for a little over 10 years, having had experience in both Girls and Boys grammar schools and a mixed Independent School. I have been Head of Physics, Deputy Director of Science College and Head of KS3 science at various points in my career. I
Links with other Agencies
In the last 5 years I have become heavily involved with the Schools Outreach programme at the School of Engineering and Digital Arts (formerly Electronic Engineering) at the University of Kent at Canterbury. I’ve had great fun writing activity days ‘Totally Ballistic’ and ‘Spectra’ and running event days in Canterbury.
I want to provide a support network for people teaching physics in the region so that both teaching and learning physics is fun!
I actually enjoy teaching physics..... but I also shoot .22 rifles competitively and often shoot for Kent Ladies. Team. I love to grow things in the garden and ruffle my Spaniel’s ears.
