Lin Harwood

Location: BA20

I have taught science and physics for many years and I am now a retired teacher. My particular interests are in astronomy, and space science. I have taken two groups to the Isaac Newton group of telescopes on La Palma to take observations on the Jacobus Kapteyn telescope.
I am a committee member for the British Physics Olympiad, and have run the UK teams for the International Junior Science Olympiad and European Union Science Olympiads.

Professional interest
I am keen on make-and-take workshops particularly those involving simple electronics.  I have several which address the practical requirements for A level and GCSE at a reasonable cost.

Teacher Network workshops
I am happy to run any of the central workshops.

Other workshops

  • Make and Take – KS5 Planck boxes
  • Make and Take - RC boxes
  • Make and Take - Youngs slits apparatus
