Teaching astronomy and space

La Palma

These resources aim to support the teaching of astronomy and space to 11-16 year olds.

The stimulating videos, produced with generous funding from the Science and Technology Facilities Council, on behalf of the Institute of Physics and Teachers TV, introduce students to the wonders of the universe. Each film features a practising astronomer explaining what they do, what they know and how they know it.

There is also a section of demonstrations presenting inspiring and engaging practical activities that teachers can use in the classroom.
