Subject Knowledge Enhancement

Funded by the National College for Teaching and Leadership, post-initial teacher training (ITT) subject knowledge enhancement (SKE) courses are designed to increase the physics knowledge of in-service and returning teachers.

If you’re returning to work after a period of time away, you might find a SKE course will help to develop your physics knowledge and increase your confidence in the classroom.

Likewise, if you’re a practicing teacher requiring a boost to your physics knowledge due to a change in role you may also benefit from a physics SKE course.

These courses are hosted by a range of Initial Teacher Training providers across England and are funded by the National College for Teaching and Leadership.

The training will typically combine practical sessions at the centre, and distance learning sessions, but content and duration will vary according to the provider.
