Brief Description:
The project module will begin with the student teams choosing a project from a range of options. Each project will have a consultant from industry or the public sector and an academic facilitator. The students will essentially organise themselves with advice from the academic facilitator. The students will write a project report and give a poster presentation. The industrial consultant will be involved in assessing the project report and poster presentation. The academic supervisor and the project team will provide individual assessment.

Key features of this project:
Close links with a strong research base in high energy physics, nuclear structure, condensed matter and surface science. Based on established links with industry. Access to research infrastructure such as Clean room and radiation laboratory.
