IOP & Social Mobility Foundation
Lead the way… participate in the Aspiring Professionals Programme…
The Institute of Physics is proud to be working with the Social Mobility Foundation (SMF) to offer bright, talented, A-Level students the opportunity to participate in the Aspiring Professionals Programme (APP).
If you are an employer and you would like to offer a 1 – 2 week work placement, find out more about the SMF and how you can contribute to this highly successful scheme.
Employers participating in the APP offer students the opportunity to gain 1-2 weeks work experience in their organisation. The students selected for the APP are high achievers, whose aspirations go beyond the class room. They want to make the most of their academic potential, and find out what career opportunities are open to them.
As a physics-based employer, you are in an ideal position to offer one or more placements to help these students to develop their talent, gain confidence, and inspire them. These bright students are from disadvantaged backgrounds, and as an employer you’ll be providing them with the opportunity to gain work experience that may otherwise be closed to them. This is a great scheme and we hope you are willing to participate.
