Practical support

This section is aims to give you practical support for your event such as advice on working with schools and how to market your event. You will also be able to find an online discussion list which gives you support from others communicating physics.

Outreach
This guide to working with schools and colleges includes information on the school curriculum and ideas for reaching particular age groups as well as practical tips for working effectively with schools.

Physics_comms
The physics_comms electronic discussion list is a forum for people who are interested and active in communicating physics. Use the list to advertise your activities, let everyone know about good physics communication resources, ask for advice or information and keep in touch with other communicators.

Outreach Workshops
The physics in society team will be running a series of six outreach training workshops during 2009. The workshops are at two levels – beginners and advanced – and are designed to develop the skills of members who are interested in communicating their passion and knowledge.
