ICPS 2009
The conference is now full; any further registrations should be done directly through the organisers, and will be placed on a waiting list in case of cancellations. Anyone who has been confirmed as attending previously will ne guaranteed a place provided you pay the conference fee before 28 June.
The 24th International Conference of Physics Students will take place in the lovely city of Split on the Dalmatian coast in Croatia, on 10-18 August.
The conference is the flagship event of the International Association of Physics Students (IAPS), of which Nexus is a National Committee member. Organisation of the conference is done by the local and national member of committees of IAPS; this year it was organised by the Student Section of the Croation Physical Society (SSCPS). The conference will be held over nine days this year, longer than ever before. Academic highlights include opportunities for student participants to give short lectures and present posters; a number of guest lectures; workshops; and excursions to places of scientific, cultural or historical interest. The conference will also include the IAPS AGM, as well as a number of social events such as a city tour of Split and a number of evening parties. Particularly worth mentioning is the traditional National Party, where delegates from different countries and regions are encouraged to share local food and drink and, if brave enough, put on a short performance (e.g. song, dance).

Registration and refunds
For those who have paid their early registration fee through Nexus, please note that any requests for refunds due to cancellation should be made to nexus@iop.org and we will be able to refund you 80% of your paid fee before 28 June. No refunds will be given after this date. Payment will be made by cheque or bank transfer; instructions will be given to you when we receive your e-mail. All participants can join the ICPS 2009 network group on MyIOP, where more information will be provided and travel plans and preparation for the National Party can be discussed.
