Student societies
Nexus is proud to be able to support the work of student physics societies throughout the UK and Ireland and is happy to invite applications from student societies that wish to become officially affiliated with Nexus.
Societies can look forward to the following benefits:
- the ability to apply for grants from Nexus in order to fund activities
- the chance to enter the annual Nexus Society Awards
- a £75/€85 start-of-year grant upon (re)affiliation by 31 October 2009, as well as promotional Nexus items
- a copy of the new planned Society Guide
- keeping in contact with other societies on MyIOP, our online members' network, and the chance to attend regional meetings and events
- the chance to attend the annual Nexus Student Conference in November and to showcase your society at this event
Guidelines to affiliation and the application form can be downloaded using the links below. Please return your application form by e-mail to nexus@iop.org.
The list of previously affiliated societies in 2008/09 is also linked to below. Please note that any societies who do not reaffiliate by 31 October 2009 will be removed from this list.
Nexus grant application guidelines and forms will be available to download from the Societies network within MyIOP.
