Supporting Students with Nexus

About Nexus

MyIOP

My IOP is the Institute's online members' network. All members have access to this network, where you can get in touch with other IOP members, join discussions, ask questions, read online versions of our magazine Physics World and newsletter Interactions, join any of our specialist groups and hear about the latest news from Nexus.

MyIOP also allows you to keep your personal details and profile up to date, ensuring that we can keep in touch with you with all the latest developments in and around the IOP. Members are requested to check their details after logging in for the first time to ensure these are correct.

It is also an effective way of providing us with your feedback on the activities and events we tun and the support we provide to our members, in the case of Nexus, specifically for students.

There is both a general Nexus network on MyIOP, where all students can join in discussions and provide us with your feedback, and a second network specifically for student societies to get in touch with each other. Through the societies network we hope to set up smaller regional networks of student representatives at all universities, who will interact with the 18 official Nexus student representatives.

Opportunities for student members, such as volunteering, conferences and other events may be posted periodically on MyIOP.

Finally, there will be a quarterly Nexus newsletter made available to download from MyIOP, which will link to forum discussions.
