Collaboration with other Physical societies

India

To strengthen the cooperation between the Institute of Physics (IOP) and the Indian Physics Association, both societies have agreed on an exchange lectureship scheme. This scheme allows for eminent physicists from India as well as Great Britain and Ireland to give lectures in their exchange country, with lectures taking place in India and in Great Britain and Ireland in alternate years. The lectures taking place in India are known as the Cockcroft and Walton Lecture, while lectures in Great Britain and Ireland are called the Homi Bhabha Visiting Lecture.
