Although various areas or elements of QQQ have representation within other Institute of Physics groups, until now there has not been a single group within the Institute corresponding to this modern grouping of quantum interests. The QQQ group has been formed to bring together the various elements of the QQQ community, providing a focus and forum, and to enable new interactions and overlaps. It exists to represent the whole QQQ community at the group level and provides the Institute with a significant opportunity to broaden its constituency. The DAMOPP division is a natural home for the QQQ group, given the significant overlap and connections. However, given the breadth of QQQ and its optical and condensed matter elements, the group is also affiliated with the Optics and Photonics Division and with the CMMP Division.
