Providing financial support to research student members to attend international conferences and major national meetings.
Apply for up to £250 during the course of your PhD.
Annual conference bursaries
Bursaries are available for postgraduate students studying in the UK and Ireland to attend the Plasma Physics Group conference.
Free membership of the IOP for EPSRC students
Membership of the IOP is free for EPSRC funded students in the UK
* EPSRC is keen to strengthen the links with the students it sponsors by providing them with a non-pay benefit and creating a
vehicle for tracking their career paths.
* They will therefore fund membership of the IOP for a maximum of four years together with not more than two years
post studentship, the total not to exceed five years.

To join the Plasma Physics Group
* Tick the appropriate section on the annual registration form of the Institute, or
* Contact the Institute directly indicating a preference to join the group
Aside from ensuring eligibility for the group bursaries, group members will also be circulated with details of all group activities throughout the year.
