| 3 august 2009 | IS&T Archiving 2010 conference dates and venue have been set June 1 - June 4, 2010 Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Den Haag, The Netherlands Sponsored by: The Society for Imaging Science and Technology with IOP PGS as cooperating society This conference gathers a unique community of imaging novices and experts from libraries, archives, records management, and information technology institutions to discuss and explore the expanding field of digital archiving and preservation. Attendees represent worldwide industry, academia, governments, and cultural heritage institutions. The conference presents the latest research results on archiving, provides a forum to explore new strategies and policies, and reports on successful projects that can serve as benchmarks in the field. Expect a blend of invited focal papers, keynote talks, and refereed oral and interactive display presentations. |

| 29 March 2009 | China Academy of Printing Technology have recently launched a journal, the China Printing and Packaging Study. Its mix of articles in Chinese and English seems to achieve a very good technical level. They are very keen to include more papers in English, so do consider this journal for publishing work or that of students. The linked PDF gives details of the ms submission and subscription information. |

| 06 December 2007 | Toppan UK donates X-Rite 528 Spectrodensitometer to London College of Communication Managing Director of Toppan UK, Masafumi Ozawa, and European Technology Research Manager, Neil Shepherd visited the the School of Printing and Publishing at the LCC on 6th December to make the handover and to see for themselves the kind of research projects for which the instrument would be used. |

| 30 August 2007 | Note that British Standards have released the latest version of BS ISO 20462-2_2005, “Photography. Psychophysical experimental methods for estimating image quality. Triplet comparison method” incorporating the latest Amendment. This is a variant on the paired comparison method that should be easier for larger sample sets. Click here for more details. |
