Nuffield Foundation , London
07 June 2008
This Saturday event, organised by Peter Campbell, took place at the Nuffield Foundation, London. About 35 teacher members took part and a talented roster of speakers led the four sessions. As ever, informal conversation was a key ingredient to the success of the day.
Jonathan Osborne addressed the question ‘Why is KS3 science changing?'. Richard Boohan led a practical session on ways of teaching energy, with members trying out the SEP EnergyMeter. Paul Grant illustrated how earth sciences can be taught in interactive and dynamic ways. In the final session Cris Edgell described a new Nuffield cross-curricular STEM project and got participants developing their own ideas. Some excited chatter continued as members departed for journeys home.
