STFC Returners’ Fellowship

The STFC are encouraging applications from returners for their Postdoctoral and Advanced Council Fellowships. Returners are classified as 'those seeking to resume a research career following a period of absence from active research (maternity, family or caring responsibilities, moving from a non academic employment sector). Daphne Jackson Fellowships

The Daphne Jackson Trust offers fellowships aimed at returning scientists and engineers to work after career breaks.

A Daphne Jackson Fellowship combines a research project and a matching re-training programme, which can be undertaken at a university or industrial laboratory, under the guidance of an accredited supervisor.

To date, almost 100 individuals have benefited from the support of the Trust, pursuing careers in a diverse range of research areas.
