IOP Groups
Advisory Panel
There are numerous senior physicists who are keen to support the Women in Physics Group and have valuable insight into the issues faced by women during careers in physics. They expressed interest in being actively involved with WIPG without the commitment of serving on the committee.
In response, the WIPG Advisory Panel was set up. This has proved to be invaluable. Examples of the activities undertaken by members of the panel are giving high profile talks at WIPG events, providing expert advice and judging the Very Early Career Women Physicist Award. Above all, membership of the committee demonstrates individual support.
The WIPG committee is delighted to announce that Professor Dame Julia Higgins and Professor Athene Donald have kindly joined the Panel in 2008. Finally WIPG would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the Advisory Panel for their interest and encouragement.
