Career
I studied at Exeter University, obtaining a degree in physics and a Ph.D. in Semiconductor physics. After that, I worked for two years as a research scientist at GEC Marconi Materials technology, then went on to do a PGCE at the University of Oxford. I have been teaching at Hereford Sixth Form college for 7 years.
Aim/Mission
My aim as a Network Coordinator is to set up a friendly and reliable network of support for physics teachers in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, truly a "local shop for local people". And perhaps have a crack at world peace along the way?
Personal Interests
I love playing the guitar, and five-a-side football, though not always at the same time. I also enjoy reading anything about relativity, and trying (often in vain) to understand what Einstein was really on about.
