Initial Training
I started with an OU degree (at 30), broke off to do a 2 yr secondary science BEd at Anglia and finished the OU degree after - just before giving birth to 3 of 4.

Links with other Agencies
I am a member of ASE and I currently do some marking for OCR A-level papers in the summer.

Personal Interests
Science fiction (couldn't guess from above right?), painting/art Kurt Schwitters is a favourite at the moment, music - mostly rock but singing tenor in the choir at school (plus the odd rock number when me and my physics musicians can get away with it!)

Aim/Mission
Physics is fun! It is so important to get over to the students that physics is not as hard as their parents tell them it is. It is certainly more interesting and relevant than most subjects. I believe that the biggest issue is having a consistently high level of science teaching through KS2 and 3. I think my job is to help that happen and give as much support as possible.
